Many of you attended September's monthly meeting where we approved our list of charities and the amounts for each. One of our charities is the MDE School.
This school, specifically designed to teach and train children with special needs, is outstanding. Each year they select one student to be their 'Principal for the Day'. It is highly promoted in the school and they make a
big TO-DO over it. Knowing our connection, the director reached out last year and asked if we would mind giving their star student a ride through their parking lot as a bonus. I, of course, said, "absolutely". It was a wonderful time where the entire school was let out to watch the 'Principal' get escorted around. He had a blast as well; the parents were in tears.
On the 21st of September this year, we did it again, this time bigger and better with five Corvettes. The Principal of the Day, 'Luci' had the time of her life riding in the parade of Vettes.
