Charlie Cottle's 1973 Mille Miglia Red Coupe

This 1973 is a project that I thought might get my local Georgia family to spend more time together.  I bought it from a fellow in Marietta that says it has been in storage for about seven years, down the street from the old Jim Ellis VW dealership on Cobb Pkwy.  It was born a 350 4 speed with AC.  It is now a 454 4 speed with no AC.  I don’t know who did the swap or why.  I bought it in Oct 2023, not running with no hydraulic brakes (the manual emergency brake did work).  It was delivered to my house on a roll off. My youngest son, (a firefighter in Cobb county), his daughter, my wife and I have spent many many hours working on it.   All new electrical harnesses in the engine bay and cockpit.  Many new pieces in the cockpit.  New electric fuel pump.  All new brakes etc. etc.  It is now running and driving.  All done in my garage.  I have a lot of pictures of the process and progress.  And, most importantly, it has allowed us all to spend many hours together working on a mutual project.
