Jim Myer's 2014 Torch Red Stingray Coupe

I'm twice retired, once from the retail end of the car business here in metro Atlanta and once from the Navy.  I first enlisted in 1963 and served until 1968.  I got into the car business here in Atlanta and retired from that in '88 to return to the Navy and finish for my retirement there.  I did retire Nov 2003 as the oldest senior enlisted serving at the time.  I was six weeks from my 60th birthday at retirement; Title 10 of US code says you have to qualify for retirement prior to 60th birthday.  Did & done!

In my lifetime I've owned over a hundred cars and this is my first 'Vette.  I have a habit of naming my 'special' cars and her name is Lola.  She came off the line October 7th, arrived at Jim Ellis Chevy on Thursday the 10th and came home that afternoon.

My wife Jane has advanced Alzheimer's disease and is a resident in the GA War Veterans Home in Milledgeville.  Lola is a welcome spark to my life.  In the short time she's been here I've accumulated nearly 2000 miles.  I heard you're not supposed to let them completely cool off till out of warranty!
